FOCUSING CHECK

It is a public knowledge that a video system for accurate dimensional measurements is based, besides, on the software's capability to learn a calibration scale whose dividing notches have been focalized in a perfect way on the monitor for every single objective to be calibrated.
Therefore also the measurements to be made of the objects' surfaces must be perfectly focalized, otherwise they will result with values also very different in respect to the real ones.

Objectives' calibration

Example of objects' focusing

1st   phase: the operator selects from the menu the type of optics to be used
2nd  phase:         "         manually focuses the image on the monitor
3rd   phase:          "         selects the interested zone
4th   phase:          "         is leaded from VideoKLite in the operation of focusing

A traffic lights will show when you are near the focalization while a bar chart and a number will lead to the focusing with a precision even of 1 micron (these measurements can be obtained only with motorized videomicroscopes).

However the most critical phase of the measurements is the evaluation of the neatness of the images by the same operators who, in not few cases, have to focalize surfaces with an excessive uniformity and without reliable details for a perfect measurement.
VideoKLite is able to acknowledge on the pixels which compose the part of the image selected on the monitor, when the same is focalized, leading the operator, also nonprofessional, to the perfect focusing and so to execute precise measurements.
