Shore Durometer

Shore Durometers measure the hardness of soft materials.

ISH-SA (Rockwell Hardness Scale) is recommended for vulcanized rubber, elastomers, neoprene, silicone, vinyl, soft plastics, felt, leather, and similar materials.

ISH-SD (Rockwell Hardness Scale) is recommended for plastics, formica, resins, plexiglass, and similar materials.

ISH-SC (Webster Hardness Scale) is recommended for polystyrene, sponge, and porous rubber.
